
The renowned American architect Eric Lloyd Wright, recognized for his unique understanding of nature and his work in continuing the family tradition in organic architecture, has designed his only work in Europe for Simo “Sipe” Santapukki - the drummer of a very popular Finnish rock band Apulanta. In September, the Embassy of Finland in Washington D.C. is holding an exhibition showcasing the project of building Santaranta.
Project Santaranta - Building Dreams is an exhibition of 36 large-format photographs by an American and Finnish photographers of the Santaranta Project. The Exhibition showcases the organic architecture of Eric Lloyd Wright and the mystic of nature in Finland on display at the Embassy of Finland in Washington, DC September 22– 30, 2012 during Architecture Week.
The photographers with varying styles include: Alias Studio’s Antti Karppinen and Mikko Pitkänen, Jarmo Glader, Jere Hietala, Laura Riihelä, Lauri Rotko, and Carolyn Russo.
The Exhibition will be open for the public as follows:
September 22–30, Saturdays and Sundays, 11am–4pm
