Regulations on visas and residence permits
The consular section assists non-Finnish citizens with visa, residence and work permit questions. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for stays not exceeding 90 days.
Visas
Instructions for tourist, business and transit visas for short visits, less than 90 days
within 6 months. You may download the application on our website and
send it with attachments to the Consulate General in New York or Los Angeles or
the Embassy of Finland, Washington D.C. depending on your jurisdiction.
Incomplete applications will not be processed!
NOTE! Consulate General of Finland in Los Angeles will cease
representing Denmark on the West Coast in Schengen visa matters on April
1, 2008.
The representation will be taken up by the Consulate General of Sweden
in Los Angeles on April 1, 2008. In regards to Schengen visas to Denmark,
please contact the Swedish Consulate in Los Angeles

application form on our website. Please send your application with the
attachments in duplicate to the Consulate General in New
York or Los Angeles or the Embassy of Finland, Washington D.C. depending on
your jurisdiction.
