Enjoy Kids Euro Festival for Free in D.C.!

The Kids Euro Festival is one of the largest cultural festivals for children in the United States. It brings some of Europe's best children's entertainment to Washington, D.C. for two weeks, starting on October 21. This year, the festival is organized for the 10th time. Most events are free of charge!

Finland presents The Angry Birds Movie at the Embassy of Finland on October 24 at 6 pm. Angry Birds is one of Finland's best-known brands that has attracted children and child-like around the world. In the animated comedy film, the audience will finally find out why the birds are so angry. More info: http://events.euintheus.org/events/finland-the-angry-birds-movie/

Kids Euro Festival

Finnish performer Pirjo Polari-Khan brings to the Kids Euro Festival her puppets and interactive program Power of Poetry that will take children back to time when there was no media and when people couldn’t read a write. News, knowledge, stories and gossip were passed on orally from one generation to the other. This workshop for children will be organized at the Mount Pleasant Library on October 29 and at the Shepherd Park Library on October 30. The Kids Euro Festival is organized by the 28 EU Member State embassies, the EU Delegation and the European-American Cultural Foundation in collaboration with more than 30 local cultural institutions. The program includes performances, concerts, workshops, movies, storytelling, puppetry, dance and magic.
